Happy (almost) New Year!  We recently launched the company website for Poindexter, Schorsch, Jones & Hill, P.C., a law firm in nearby Waynesboro, Virginia.  Poindexter Schorsch specializes in criminal and civil law, with special emphasis on capital defense, Social Security, and personal injury.

This is the latest in a series of web projects we’ve undertaken for Shenandoah Valley businesses.  Some others include C.J. Buggs, Stories With a Twist, singer Mark Hackley, writer Elizabeth Massie, and the Waynesboro Players.  You can find links to these in our website archive.

We’re super-excited to announce that we designed the website for Jon Scieszka’s new book series, Trucktown.  Jon is the author of one of the greatest all-time children’s books, The Stinky Cheese Man. 

This is our first website for Simon & Schuster’s children’s division.  We hope you enjoy the site!

Today is an exciting day here in Staunton, Virginia. I have two major announcements.

NEW TEAM MEMBERS

First, I have taken on a few people to help me provide faster customer service. Matthew Warner, my husband, started this week as my full-time office manager and assistant web designer. Matt brings with him more than 12 years of administrative and legal experience, as well as a keen attention to detail. In addition to maintaining records and communicating with clients, Matt helps me with website programming and routine updates.

My old colleague from the advertising industry, Lori Jenkins, is subcontracting on all aspects of print and website design. Lori has a broad level of experience in graphic design, layout, pre-press production, corporate identity development, and outdoor advertising.

Nanci Kalanta, the publisher/owner of HW Press, is subcontracting as an account manager on some projects. She will assist with online promotions, game concepting, and web design.

NEW COMPANY NAME AND WEBSITE

My second announcement is that I have dissolved my sole proprietorship in favor of a Virginia limited liability company, Deena Warner Design LLC. We have a new website at http://www.deenawarnerdesign.com, where you can read announcements and corporate biographies, and view galleries of past projects.

Today we’ve launched the new website for Jordan E. Goodman’s book Fast Profits in Hard Times.  This book outlines ten strategies to generate income regardless of the state of the economy.  The website features some cool video interviews with Jordan — be sure to check it out!

The 2007 edition of the Rolling Darkness Revue is now out from Earthling Publications! This book features stories by Peter Atkins, Dennis Etchison and Glen Hirshberg.

I worked with Jonas Yip’s skeleton logo to design the cover for the book. I also did an original interior illustration for each story.
